When you are vaccinated, you are far less likely to catch COVID-19, including variants such as Delta and Omicron. And, even if you do catch it, staying up to date with your vaccinations and booster helps you stay out of the hospital and off a ventilator.

Additionally, by getting vaccinated you help protect those who are at a higher risk of severe illness due to COVID as well as those who cannot be vaccinated, such as very young children and people with immune systems weakened for other reasons, like cancer treatments.
