While you can still catch COVID after being vaccinated, your body is better equipped to fight the virus, even the new variants we are hearing about, such as Delta and Omicron. This means you are much less likely to end up in the hospital with a severe infection, or worse. Getting vaccinated also helps to protect those around you who cannot be vaccinated, such as infants and young children, and those with compromised immune systems, especially kūpuna.
