No. Vaccines do not use COVID-19 and cannot cause COVID infection in anyone, including the mother or the baby. However, it’s been proven that vaccines are effective at preventing infection in women who are breastfeeding. And, these antibodies are passed through breast milk to the baby. More studies are needed to determine what level of protection these antibodies may provide to the baby.
