I received my first vaccine shot before learning I was pregnant. Should I still get the second shot?

If you became pregnant after receiving your first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine that requires two doses (Pfizer or Moderna), you should get your second shot to get as much protection as possible. If you experience fever following vaccination, please consult your doctor who will probably advise taking acetaminophen (Tylenol®) because fever — for any reason — has been associated with negative pregnancy outcomes.
