In general, doctors are saying people should fully recover from COVID before taking the flu vaccine. For most people with non-severe COVID cases, that takes between 10 days and 2 weeks.

Minor symptoms like slight fatigue or a tickly cough are not reasons to delay the flu vaccine. However, fever, sore throat, and hacking coughs need to clear before getting immunized against the flu (or any other virus).
