Yes. After rigorous – and ongoing – testing of the vaccines’ safety and effectiveness for infants and toddlers, the FDA authorized the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for the youngest members of our community.

Working with independent pediatricians, they evaluated the benefits and risks of allowing those between 6 months and 4 years to be vaccinated. After studying multiple trials that included thousands of keiki in the United States and Canada, the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (made up of doctors and researchers from across the nation) concluded that the vaccines are both safe and effective in preventing the most severe effects of COVID (serious illness, hospitalization, and death).
